About Us
My name is Billie, I have lived in the Okanagan Valley most of my life and have had a passion for animals for as long as I can remember. From horses to dogs I have always enjoyed learning and understanding animal body language.
My husband and I have 4 dogs. Smith our long-haired chihuahua, Sitka our wolfdog and Sire and Brazos our two working line german shepherd dogs. Brazos is a working/sport dog that I got to pursue my passion for IGP/dog sports. I have many goals I hope to reach with him and am learning a lot about the sport/working dog world.
Outside of my passion for dogs I am a registered nurse, mother of two, equestrian and avid fly-fisher!
The Dog Behind the Name
This is Sitka, she is classified as a wolfdog. I got her as a puppy when I was both young and naive to what I was signing up for. Sitka turned 10 this past December (2025). When I got Sitka I had little knowledge about the differences between wolfdogs and regular domestic breeds. I also was not aware of how irresponsible the breeding of wolfdogs is.
Sitka requires a different approach to dog training and having her lit the fire in me regarding canine behaviour and training methods. From there my passion for german shepherd dogs and working breeds was born, the rest is history.
Training Services
Customized Private Sessions
This program is fully customizable to fit your lifestyle and needs. These are 1:1 with myself, your dog and/or family members that wish to be involved. I am able to host or travel depending on what works best for you and your dog. We can discuss session numbers during initial consult.
Initial consult fee is $125

Rock-Solid Recall
A program built to create off-leash freedom for you and your dog! If you are tired of calling your dog over and over and struggling to get them back on leash, this course is for you both! Recall is extremely important for the safety of your dog and others. This 4 week program involves a clear and direct foundation to ecollar fundamentals, safe methods and offers you and your dog the ability to get outdoors with a rock-solid recall.
With the purchase of this package you will have access to phone/text support for homework questions during and after completion of the course.
Training tools are required for this course, such as a professional grade ecollar. If you require assistance choosing the correct ecollar for your dog I am happy to guide you! I don’t allow “cheap shock collars” or low-quality Amazon devices.

Board and Train
Customized to fit you and your dogs needs, this program involves your dog coming to stay under my care for x-amount of time. The dog will receive both training and 24/7 optimum love and care in a home and family setting. Your dog may be requiring foundational training such as basic household obedience or require a more niche issue to be worked through.
Upon completion of the program you and I will work in a 1:1 session to address the new skills your dog leaves with so you can apply them to your own home and personal life.
You may also use this program to your advantage should you require to be away from your dog (vacation time, company with allergies etc.). and have both your dog cared for and trained.

Sitka Socials
This program will consist of group training sessions with other handlers and their dogs. The group will focus on obedience, teaching your dog to remain neutral in busy and distracting environments and is a great social outlet for us humans!
There will be different courses offered and these will be announced ASAP. You can expect puppy courses and adult dog courses. Some will be held on my property and some will be held in public for more advanced handlers and dogs! Thank you for your patience on more info.
